My name is Ólafur Kristjánsson.
I’m an Icelandic native speaker and a language teacher, currently living in Berlin.
I have been teaching Icelandic privately since 2007 and at the Volkshochschule Reinickendorf since 2008. (http://www.berlin.de/vhs-reinickendorf/?m0=1&m1=3&m2=17§id=4&cat=227) Since 2010 I am also a regular teacher at the Icelandic language summer course for international exchange students, organized be the University Center of the Westfjords in Iceland (http://www.uwestfjords.is/icelandic_courses/three-week_course_for_students).
Besides teaching Icelandic I also work as a translator and a freelance journalist for Morgunblaðið (Icelandic newspaper) and other Icelandic newspapers and magazines, where I mainly write about Icelandic literature and tourism.
I received my BA from the University of Iceland in Comparative Literature in 2004 and I studied
Philosophy and German Literature at the Technische University and Humboldt University.
I offer Skype lessons both in English and German for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. My rates are 20 euros for 60 minutes or 30 euros for 90 Minutes.
